Redneck Bird?

I have 7 four week old RIR's and one of them is acting like a redneck. (I don't know what the proper term is for chickens.) So much so that the other birds are scared of him/her. It seems to have just started. He or she will approach the other ones and peck them on the back of the neck. It they stand still long enough, he or she will continue or hold on until the helpless bird starts screaming and finally gets away. The other birds will even cower in the corner trying to stay away from this bird. Of the seven I have, one we call the runt as she (or he) is only about half their size or less. The redneck bird will not do anything to the runt. Maybe they are both roosters. Anybody have any ideas or opinions on why all of a sudden I have a redneck bird? By the way, he or she won't even touch my five week old Red Stars. (Is it a size issue?)

They are establishing the pecking order. As long as no blood is drawn things are fine. RIRs can be a bit pecky from my experience too, but it really sounds like it is normal!

if it continues, I would remove the bird for a few days then re-introduce it to the flock that will hopefully re-set the pecking order

What do I do if there is blood? Get rid of a chick?
