One of my hens went broody on me. It was easier to just give in rather than try to stop her. The only problem was keeping her eggs separate from the fresh eggs each day. (The girls like to crowd together.)

I decided to give her some nice, blue EE eggs... 1 fresh and 5 from the fridge. (Then I just gathered any brown eggs she acquired,)

She hatched out 4 chicks. 2 eggs failed to develop at all.

You seriously hatached eggs that had been in the fridge? I would have never EVER beleived it could happen.. awesome! How long were they in there? the fridge I mean.

Eagerly awaiting pics and answer to the "how long were they in the fridge?" question.

It is not uncommon. Some breeders routinely refrigerate eggs. There are several threads in the archives of refrigerated store eggs being hatched.

Congrats to you on your success.
