So, I've Been keeping my eggs in a basket on the counter for up to 5 weeks without refrigeration (unwashed of course) and without issue. I've been told that once eggs have been refrigerated, they will then need to be kept refrigerated. Is there truth in this? If so, during cold weather when eggs may be 40'ish degrees (or lower) before being collected.... Do these need to be refrigerated when they're brought inside?

Thanks

I am wondering the same thing! Waiting for mine to start laying! I thought I read somewhere as long as they are not washed they could keep for up to 9 months. ?

I wouldn't think so... Just like you said, its refrigerator cold outside, and I bring them in and leave them out. The only time I refrigerate is if I wash the poo off before putting it in a carton to hand out. Sometimes I wash too many, and if I have a few extra from a carton full, and they're washed they're in the fridge.
