So, last month my "duck-sitter" misinterpreted my instructions and refrigerated 13 duck eggs that my muscovy duck had just started to sit on. They were in the fridge overnight.

I was very unhappy when I got home.

I let them warm up on the counter for half a day and put them back in the nest, and 34 days later we have 13 apparently healthy little ducks!

I heard that worked for chickens but found no info for ducks so thought I'd put that story out there.

That is so exciting! This tells me that with my total bad luck in incubating, there is still hope if my little eggies WANT to hatch, they will. Ha! Such a happy day.

eggs refridged even for weeks can hatch.

eggs washed and even scrubbed can hatch--even in a bator for all of this, too.

so if you EVER have fridged eggs--even eggs that have sat uncovered in chilly weather for some days--and you want to hatch, you will probably get AT LEAST SOME IF NOT ALL to hatch.

No kidding, really.
