I have 2 laying hens that I'm looking to rehome - my family/pet health situation has changed recently and we no longer have the energy to keep up with our chickens. One is a black ameraucana with lovely light blue eggs, and the other is a brown-colored mix with some ameraucana in her - she's a very steady & reliable light-brown egg layer, much more reliable than our black one!
I got these two as pullets in early 2022, so they're about 3yo. They don't seem to have slowed down egg production except the black ameraucana takes longer to start after the winter and stops earlier in fall.
They're both a bit skittish of humans but are in very good health. I could also throw in our coop if desired. We're the 3rd home for this coop and it is definitely not critter proof, but it's generally sturdy and a good size for 3 chickens, maybe 4 small ones.
