Rehoming roosters

I have a new flock of hens and they were sexed as all female, but one rooster got through. We love him, but now he is crowing and roosters are not allowed in town in Lacey. I let all my Facebook friends know I am looking to rehome him, even a few farmers. I put in the stipulation that while he is free to a good home, he cannot be food. My kids are attached to Jordie and my neighbors are annoyed by his cockadoodledoo. So, I really want to find this beautiful Amberlink rooster a home- not a plate. What can I do? He is 3.5 months old now. He is such a pretty bird and has a great temperament.

Best of luck!! Just remember that with these stipulations you’re playing the long game. It may take a few month so be patient

I hope someone will want him as a pet or breeder. He is way too pretty to eat

If he’s kind at 4-5 months or so and not human aggressive you’ll have a great shot!! Fingers crossed for you!!

We got him on March 19th and he was a few days old. He is way chill.
