(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? New to chicks-had some hens that were going to be culled so I saved them and they are happy girls to this day 2 years later. Just got our first batch of 7 chicks so learning new things.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 7 chicks 4 adult chickens
(3) What breeds do you have?Chicks are black jersey giants we also have polish and golden comets
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Its pretty relaxing watching them enjoy life as well as the eggs being amazing.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Camping, hiking, other outdoor stuff is our thing.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We have goats, cats, and rescue pitty bulls that we love and spend lots of time with. Triplets and a 14 yr old that have been involved with 4H and FFA help with the mini farm thing we have going.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I just found you folks tonight googling for an answer to my question. Looks like a lot of info here so I look forward to checking things out. It’s destiny lol
