Hey all! I have a hen who had a mild case of sour crop that started a week ago. Her breath was bad and crop wasn’t emptying, but it never got large or watery. So I clear that up and now I just need to get her on food again. I’ve been giving her scrambled eggs with probiotic powder on them. She refuses to eat yogurt. I’ve tried to put her on small amounts of mash but when I do her crop doesn’t empty over night. How long should I give her eggs before I can try mash again? What else can I feed her?

How did you treat the crop issue?
Photos of the bird and her poop?
Did she have any lesions, mucous or canker inside the beak?

If the crop is not emptying overnight, then you did not clear up the crop issue.
I would read this article and use the treatment methods described.

Does she lay eggs? When was the last egg?
