Good afternoon,

Does anyone on the gold coast, Australia have a heat lamp or normal desk lamp i could borrow/buy off them.

Sadly my broody hen has rejected her chicks, and its close to winter. :( We put them in a old spider tank (hugish) with some hay and a towel made into a "Cave" for four our little chicks to keep warm, or try too, and covering the tank with layers of blankets...

Help, Advice? :(

Ya know... if you have a regular old 100 watt light bulb you could use that for heat till you can get a clamp light. Even a heating pad on low, would work in a pinch if you have one. Put it under a towel though, so the chickies don't get to hot... and the water away from it...

My neighbors kid used a heating pad on low, with a fluffy towel, clothes pinned it to the side of the storage bucket he was using, so they cuddled against that until he was able to get a light. It worked out.

The problem is, i don't have any form or lamp or heaters, this family had a house fire a few years ago, so having heating pads is a no no. (Unfort we don't own any hot water bottles of the ones in the freezer or microwave)

But thanks :) ^^
