Had to kill our Lt Brahma "Big Bird" yesterday. He was supposed to be an Orp hen when we purchased him from a tractor supply store, but luck had other plans. The unfortunate repercussions of having a backyard flock in a suburban environment. He had a great personality and it hurt to see him go. This was my first kill so I'm lamenting a bit. Here's to you, Big Bird.
