This is a work in progress. We have an old barn that we have no clue what to do with. I had an open faced shed that I converted into a chicken coop but my Father is telling me it won't do for winter. If needed I think I could put a tarp or two around the opening and it would be fine but... I have decided to convert the front part of the barn into a chicken hotel. It has stalls for calves that would be ok to stay I just have to close up a few places so that it is draft proof and critter proof.



Anyone else do this?

I have read about lots of barns converted to chicken coops in one section with great success.

In Minnesota, a tarp might be a little too cool and windy.
