While my chickens have constructed their own dust bath areas, it IS winter, and the ground is either wet, snowy or frozen. So I put peat moss and wood ash in a Rubbermaid container and put it in the run...two birds will get in at a time. You do have a nice sized run, so maybe more than one container would work?

The container keeps things dry and the sides are high enough the material mostly stays in...
