I have a Brinsea 20 incubator and have 20 eggs in it. 7 have hatched and 2 more are pipping. With the new babies and their eggs in there, it is really crowded. Can I remove them really quick to their brooder and let the others hatch with a little more room, or it will bother the ones that have yet to hatch?

Thanks

First of all congrats. Remove the shells to free up some room. The chicks need to dry up and look fuzzy before you move them. 12 to 24 hours is recomended.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I have one in the middle of hatching so I will remove egg shells as soon as she is done:) A couple of them hatched yesterday afternoon, so they are nice and dry and ready to go in the brooder so I might grab them while I am in there.

Thanks again

No, don't open till all have hatched! Otherwise you risk shrink wrapping any that may have pipped. I know it's hard, but its for the best. Good luck!!
