Good morning all I am not sure where to post this question but hope you can help

I have been babysitting two hens while their owner was building their new coop and since then I have gotten far with habituating my girls. Now I have to remove these two hens to give them back to their mother, what is the best way to catch them and remove them without scaring my girls? I don't want them to start freaking out again every time I get close to them. Will it be better to take them out while they are sleeping and have them sleep in a box until the next morning when they go home?

Idea #2 is the best. When they are roosting for the night place in crate .. In the morning take to new home..

WISHING YOU BEST AND

Yep, pull them off the roost. Stick them in a crate or cardboard box, in the morning take them home.
