Removing mr drake from the crew

Hi all,

I hate to separate my two ducks (1 male 1 female) but while they socialize together, the drake is generally aggressive towards the female as well as my other two hens. Sometimes I have to separate him during the day and she has so far seemed unbothered by it. My question is if my female duck will be affected by grief or stress upon his permanent removal- they are a pair of Rouens, if that helps. [Located in Berkeley, CA for rehoming purposes]

Can you bring in another female so your Rouen won't be left alone. They really do better if they have another duck for company.
Place your drake on your state forum and maybe someone close would be interested.

Yes what @Miss Lydia said I agree 100% ducks and chickens can tolerate each other but they speak different languages not just the vocals but all the body language ques are different too... your duck will be sad without a girl duck friend
drakes generally need about 5 girl ducks for each 1 drake, and shouldnt be with girl chickens anyway , its good you rehome him
