Hi BYC members, old and new:
Thanks for the warm welcome. Good to be aboard.
Per your suggestion, I'll paste the questions in and briefly answer them. Then, I should go out and check on the girls!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, I'm brand new. We got our pullets a week ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We've got 3.
(3) What breeds do you have?
"Buffy" our Buff Orpington and "Scarlett", a Rhode Island Red are both 13 weeks old. "Azalea" is our 11 week old Ameracauna.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Surfing on Google.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Edible and habitat gardening, sketching and painting, playing ukelele.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Richard and I have been married 16 years. We've overplanted our quarter acre in the suburbs with good things to eat, and have nearly reached our goal of completely obscuring the house from the busy street!
