Repost of a Lil black bird

[Chicky Mama]

We got he/she as a asst. bantam mix at our feed store and have no clue what it could be,looks like a blackbird.

Was thinking Australorp,but have no clue.
It's back was slow to feather out,had a few white wing feathers.Been callin it "lil'necked back".
It shines pretty purple in the sun and seems lower end of the flock and quiet.
Please help end the GUESSING!!

Check the comb.If is PEA it is Sumatra bantam.Body shape is right

Wow, I didn't realize that you could find sumatra at a hatchery. BTW, sumatra was my call, too.

Thank you all that helps with the wondering!I was hoping someone might know!

I wish my daughter had gotten 2 ,but she wanted one little tuxedo dude as she called it. They told me probably a bantam Australorp,but I did'nt see how with that long body not rounded.
I really wish the feed store could do some chick identifing training so we all might know better what we're buying and what they're selling.
I have 5 black not motteled or barred Cochins from the should be's or could be's and of course 4 are boys to add to the to many roo's list.

The bird came from Ideal hatchery as far as I know.
