Hi, my uncle has hens but something attacked them and he has only 1 left, he's giving her to me cause he doesn't want her to be lonely. How should I integrate her into my flock of 18 hens? I'm going to put her in a little run in my hens large run until they are used to her. Should I put her in with them to roost when it gets dark or will I put her in a pet carrier in my chickens coop, I'm collecting her tonight and don't want her to be too stressed out.
Thanks

First before you start integrating her quarantine her as far away from your flock as possible for a month in case she has something that could be passed on to your flock. Even if she seems perfectly healthy now, it's not unusual for a bird to suddenly fall ill from the stress of moving.
After that, do a week or 2 of see but no touch. Do not let her roost with the flock yet, roosting with them comes last. After a week or 2, you can let them mingle supervised and if all goes well, you can let them start roosting together maybe after a few days, if not, do another week of see but no touch and try again
