Rescued Baby Turkey

My husband rescued a wild baby turkey (a poult, I guess its called). We have it in a cage now...we are trying to feed and water it...we have 1 Tom, 7 ducks and several chickens...what should be the end result? Should we raise it and integrate it into our flock or back to the wild...It was slightly injured, but seems to be doing better now.

In many states it's illegal to keep them without a permit. It might be better with a wildlife rehabilitator.

Call your local game commission office. If you do raise it, i would not release it due to the possibility of passing disease back to a wild flock, especially since you have poultry already.
