A neighbor brought a chick to us about two weeks ago. Apparently, it was in her backyard and her dog was trying to eat it. She saw the poor thing and saved it, showed it to her husband, and he suggested it might be ours to bring it to us. We told her it wasn't ours and she asked if we wanted to keep it because she can't keep the chick. (She runs a daycare at her place so...)
Without further ado, here is Chicky:

Modeling of course.

Staring at my little sister's food that day.

However, his/her odd... body brings us all to a question...
Just what is he/she?
I personally think he might be a Manx Rumpy, but I'm not an expert! ^-^ Could you guys please help?

Edit: Here's pictures taken today. The ones above were from the day he was taken in.

Looks like a Bantam to me. I own two of them, and they are very sweet. I'm no expert, so I could be wrong, but it looks like one to me. As for gender, I believe it's a female.

Aren't booted bantams........well........booted? Meaning they have feathered feet? And I think they're usually bearded.

this looks like a silver game hen of some type. the thick legs in one pic was making me think rooster, but that salmon breast is all girl!

I also think it looks to be a game bantam of some sort. Also looks to be a pullet, her coloring looks similar (but not the same) to silver duckwing

By game do you guys mean the Persian/Manx Rumpless? ^-^ Hopefully it turns out to be a girl haha otherwise we'll have a problem because we already have two roosters (one of which we need to get rid of)
