This morning our blue cochin was perched in her run and breathing heavily, with effort. I brought her inside because it's been hot where we are. Ten hours later she's making a sound each time she inhales, her mouth is open and she's getting quite tired out. I cannot get her an appointment with a vet until next week, they're all booked. Our chickens are pets, we love them. I have a video but I can't seem to upload it here. Does anyone have any advise? Thank you

Is she still making the sound? Videos can be uploaded to YouTube or a similar site with a link posted here. She might be having some stridor, a sound they can make it they get a small piece of feed stuck in the airway, or if they have mucus or swelling of the airway because of a respiratory infection. See if it clears up in a few hours. Offer her a lot of water, and let us know how she is. Does it sound like the chicken in this video in post 1:

Hello, thank you so much for your response. That does sound similar, though, our chicken Grace's breathing sounded more labored. I wasn't able to find a vet to see her so we took her to an animal hospital in Boston. She's there now. They're giving her oxygen, doing tests. Apparently she's a little worse this morning. I'm waiting for an update/call back right now.
