Hi, I just took one of my little girls to the Vet because she was gasping for air, she is 3 weeks old. I've been reading the postings, and it sounds like respiratory illness lasts forever.
Can I ever:
1. Join her back into the coop with my other chickens, who have not shown any signs of being sick. Although I have given them medicine, since she has gotten sick.
2. Eat her eggs, some postings seem to indicate that it would be in her system and affect her eggs forever.
3. Introduce new chickens into the group? Will they automatically get the illness from my sick chicken, even after she shows no symptoms?
I appreciate the help, I'm new to chickens and suffering from information overload.
