I have 3 week old Peking ducks, One seems to be breathing harder than the other? I have not notices any wheezing, sneezing, or eye discharge, he just seems to me to have labored breathing? I tried to upload a video .. but It wont let me. How do I tell if this is what he has or is this just how he breaths? is there any thing I can treat him with as a preventative in case this is what's going on? he also seems to be not wanting to stand very long as he did when I had first gotten them? I just started to add nutritional yeast into there food for ack of niacin.

Several important questions, What are you feeding them? What kind of bedding are you using? What's the temp in their brooder? Do you have water deep enough they can clean their nares out with? Run your hand along the duckling's throat, do you feel any foreign object's? Do you see anything in its mouth?

they are on flock raiser. non medicated and I had just learned about the niacin in there diet, and needing more. which would explain why one of mine is wanting to lay down and not stand a lot, I started to give the nutritional yeast in there food about 3 days ago, I hope I can correct this problem, I am heartbroken to see one of my babies like this. Which is better for them the nutritional yeast or brewers yeast ? I was told they would do the same thing but I am really concerned and want to get the right stuff to help him out asap!
So to answer the previous question since I had gotten sidetracked, they are eating non medicated flock raiser, and have a duck waterer which is deep enough to clean out there nairs, I had felt there neck and nothing seems to be lodged or blocking ,and do not see anything in there mouth.

Also do you know much about the nuti drench? I was told to give this to him as well, I haven't found to much info on it and what it really does for them? I just want to make sure its ok to keep giving it to them

Flock raiser is great for developing duckling, although putting some brewers yeast or nutritional yeast in there feed as a preventative measure wouldn't be a bad idea, @Miss Lydia prefers nutritional yeast, I believe she said it has more niacin and its more flaky so its sticks to their feed better?. Nutri-Dench is great for weak ducklings, the dosage is on the back I believe, its a poultry vitamin.

What's the temperature in their brooder? If you have a small brooder and a heat lamp that is too close they are going to pant. Could you post a video of the one panting?

I agree on adding Nutritional yeast but if one is having a problem already then pulling out the big guns is the best.
Go to TSC and get Durvet liquid B Complex and start giving them 1 ml over a yummy treat. Just enough treat they gobble up the whole dose. If treating more than one 1ml per duckling. Putting it in water is fine but it gets so watered down Its not going to be as effective. I believe @MasterOfClucker has the new pic of the B complex since they changed the label.

Now check your temps because Pekins are notorious for getting overheated please answer the questions so we can help.
