I went out to lock up my chickens and heard a very strange noise. It’s one of my buff brahma girls. I’m attaching a video that my 9 yo insisted on taking herself. Pertinent history: brahma is 2 years old. We recently took in another person’s huge flock about 2 weeks ago. Everyone seemed healthy until now. My husband found a deceased hen in the coop this morning when he did morning chores. No apparent injuries. I also have a little bantam rooster not doing well that I will make another thread for. We had terrible air quality today with lots of haze supposedly from the Canadian fires. Any ideas? Holistic remedies appreciated. I have a well stocked herbal apothecary and multiple homeopathy kits.
Apparently, we can’t post videos. She’s making a low rumble. It’s happening both inspiration and expiration, sounding slightly different for each. Beak slightly open. Occasionally shaking her head with a sneeze/cough.
