So, I am just wondering who else (while building/designing their coop) wakes up early in the morning and has trouble going back to sleep because they're planning out the coop details? On my days off I don't get up until 7am but routinely have waken up around 3:30 to 4:00am thinking about what I want/need to do. If I am lucky I fall back to sleep between 5 or 6!

Yeah...we're all geeks. I, myself, had to be dragged out of my house last Saturday night for a night on the town. I was perfectly content to stay home with the sleeping child and watch the BYC site. My husband thinks I need therapy. Or a life. Or both.

See my user name ... I signed up for BYC and chose my name while building my coop .. I didnt sleep and stayed outside working on it in rain , 90 degree weather , and even finished the roof with the tornado sirens going off in the background... I think all chicken people are a lil crazy

Oh, yeah...
When I'm trying to go to sleep, I am trying to figure out how to attach wheels to the hoop house...and not have the frame up off the ground...and how to rig a feeder tube...and rig the door...hinges vs. lift out...etc...

Yep...hubby and I worked on our coop in 11* weather last Jan and Feb...If someone told us we were gonna have to work out in the cold , with numb hands and frozen feet.....I woulda said , ''NO way...not me! ''

If not for the wood stove....we wouldnt have survived !!!
