My Duckling has her own hand held and shortened handled tools (as well as a toolbox for other work). I admit I’ve used her hoe and rake several times myself. Good luck with settling into your new home! We hope you feel free to share photos along the way!
Welcome to BYC! I think I need dahlias! Been trying to figure out what to replace all my Asian lilies with. Planted a few hundred around the house and just when the were in bloom and looking beautiful, I found out they are poisonous to my cats. 
I cut off all the blooms and buried them in the mulch pile and then at the end of their growing season, pulled them all out of the garden.
