Hello from New Albany, Indiana.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No. I had chickens 13 years ago but I have to relearn everything I had learned.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? None. But will be getting some before the summer is over.
(3) What breeds do you have? I used to have several breeds years ago. But I'm hoping to get Black Australops this time.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Providing eggs to the table.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? It's been 6 years since I gardened but I'm going back to it because of Covid.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have a one year old granddaughter who I take care of when her mom, my daughter is working. My daughter and mother live 5 minutes away from me in opposite directions. I have a granddog, Piper who I suspect would be very protective of the chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I remember this group from 13 years ago when I was raising chickens.
