Rheas?!?

They are ratites like Ostriches, Emus, Kiwis etc. They have no keel bone and are therefore flightless. As long as you have the room they are pretty easy to care for.

They get about 4-5 feet tall, have three toes similar to emu, look a bit more like an ostrich though (body length wings vs. emu stubs, etc). They are a very neat bird

Used to have a couple, a white and a grey, both absolutely beautiful. They're native to South America. They lay a big yellow egg that will make one heck of an omlet ;-)
