Rhode Island Red and Jersey Giant

Just wondering if anyone has had a RIR rooster mate with a Jersey Giant hen??? And what was the outcome?

The offspring would be black, as adult the males should have some gold in the hackles.

I have done that cross believe me you get nothing spectacular. Try crossing a RIR with a Phoenix.

I was thinking the outcome would be a hen that could lay large eggs even during the winter as my RIRs do.
