I have one silkie roo 4 silkie hens and two Rhode Island hens, they have a very nice indoor coop and screen outdoor run,We have our farm on the market and cannot let them out into my garden which they use to do. One of then Rhode Island reds is laying an egg each day and breaking it, what is causing this, any ideas are welcome,

Sometime along the way your hen has gotten the taste of raw egg and has learned how to break them to get the insides (usually an egg is broken by accident); an egg eater. A too common habit that is hard/impossible to stop.
