Rhode Island Red or Production Red?

Can someone who is wise advise me if my amazing Roo, Otis is actually a RIR ... or if he is a production red? We raised him from 1 day old -- and he is supposed to be a RIR -- but try as I might, I really have trouble identifying the difference.

He has the most amazing personality, and we have several friends and family members who'd like chickens. We've been considering hatching eggs from our white leghorn hen that are fertilized by Otis next spring. I believe that would result in Golden Comets? -- but not sure if that's the case if he is actually a PR and not a RIR.

Thank you in advance!

Well, production reds- a few definitions, but if it was an RSL it would be white.
He has nice yellow legs, rich brown, and a good sized comb.
A production red isn't a red sex link, it's a cross between a Rhode Island Red and a New Hampshire Red. And it's hard to tell from the photo, but he could be a Production Red.

Really? Thanks, I just assumed RSLs were one version. I’ve seen threads about ‘production reds’ that had pics of RSLs.
