We adopted this chicken from another family who told us it was a hen. I’m starting to wonder if it is actually a rooster. Any advice? Rhode Island Red, about 5 months old. Thank you!

Some do. I have one that does on occasion but it's rare that a hen will crow. He has male specific feathering.

Just a couple of weeks ago. They said he was just over 4 months. Didn’t start crowing until yesterday though.
