Hi am new to the Rhode island red breed.
Birds are10-14wks there are no obvious combs as yet but the tail feathers on one are high is this normal for this breed or do i have a emerging roo? Thanks

Thanks for response.Well whatever they are i hope they arnt to broody. Dont wanna mess with another broody girl, lol..

Sorry to say but those are not Rhode Island Reds. They are probably Production reds. None of them look like obvious cockerels to me though.

I agree; you have Production Red pullets. You should get lots of large brown eggs from those girls. :o)

Thanks for replies everyone have since done a bit of reading on the Production Reds. Am happy with any chicken really. Just didn't want another broody girl! Have x1 Brahma that goes broody at a drop of a hat and a bit scary! Always feel a tad guilty that she doesn't have fertile eggs.

You're welcome.
