My name is Richard, 66 years old, I had chickens . I bought 6 chicks, 4 black barred, and 2 Rhode island -reds. I thought they were well hidden, but 1 neighbor reported the chicks, and the city told us to get rid of them.
We took chicks to Columbus Agway, but they couldn't take them back, so we went to the farmers market, and found a woman to take them to her farm, so all worked out well.
WE had them for 2 weeks only but fell in love with them.We took them out to there yard during the day, and brought then back to there heated box at night. They were friendly toward us.
Not surprising the city wont allow critters that are so quiet, and provide so much healthy food, and just enjoyment.I worked all over the city, and there are sections, where there are many flocks, including roosters, but not on Harbison Ave.
