Hey!!i wanna get a local thread going to keep us chicken owners connected and help eachother out!! I know I myself dont know anybody else in my neighborhood,friends,or family with backyard chickens so more often then not im left to search for information on my own and it can be SUPER FRUSTRATING! i feel if we can get a community thread going it will benefit everyone, especially me

First official post!

Im curious to know if anyone knows of any local farms or butchers who i can take my older hens who arents laying any longer to be slaughtered for the dinner table. Any thoughts or concerns even are WELCOME! Any advice would help seeing as ill be expanding my flock of 11 to about 20 and will be needing to downsize the older gals. Im also considering rehoming, killimg them isnt my final decision im just exploring the option. Thank you!!
