Ringneck Pheasant

I'm wanting to raise ringnecks Wild so we can relese them eventually, and was looking for some tips or advice. Has anyone ever done or tried this? What kind of feed and houseing am i going to need to provide?

Check with your Fish and Game office first. Good chance you will need permits.
They can also help you out with space requirements.

To raise pheasants to be released in the wild you need to have flight pens so that the wings are strong enough to be out in the wild. It is necessary for their survival. Definitely check and see what your state/city/game dept. may have in requirements. In WA I just check out to see if I could do it for the game dept. and they let me know that they no longer have the general public do it for them because of AI (Aviary Influenza) But each state is different. So definitely check the dimensions of a flight pen to give them what they need to survive once released. Good Luck!
