ringneck X melanistic equals????

I won some of these eggs on ebay (ringneck X melanistic), are they just mixes? I know they are both ringnecks, so I'm not sure how that works. Any info is appreciated

They are both ringnecks, just the melanistics are a color mutation. You will get regular ringnecks and melanistics from your hatch along with a few that are a combination of the two . This will be apparent when they achieve their adult plumage. The mixed offspring will vary in color pattern and the males may or may not have a neck ring . They are still nice birds either way.
