I have three rio grande poults. One is growing much faster then the other two, and seems to have a bit of trouble maintaining balance on it's legs. The legs are very long compared to what I am used to with heritage breed poults. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Rachel

Were these poults from an incubator? I know that when you incubate yourself rather than letting the hen handle it the poults can come out abnormal. I just saw a batch of Easterns that had a single poult that couldn't really walk and that was a side effect of incubating yourself. If he/she can't really walk on it's legs then it might not live very long. I hope this answers your question.
