Ripped Wattle how to treat..

The two birds that were lost in the mail arrived here over 24 hrs late today well not at my house I had to drive an hour plus to a hub to pick them up but I got them alive and in great shape except the cockerel had a fresh would to one wattle it's ripped and part is hanging.

Never had an injury before how do I treat this? For tonight I just put him in a dog carrier with fresh water he's had a long trip and I didn't want to stress him too much more.

I would clean it up with warm water and soap and apply some bacitracin (Neosporin). If it's a small tear it may heal together; if larger, it may not. I'm sure he will be okay, though, either way. =)
