I want to produce a sex link chickens. What can I get with Rhode island red and a black australorp.I got males and females of both.TIA

I had a BA go broody and the rooster was an RIR. Two of the babies came out looking just like a RIR and were hens, but the baby rooster was unbelievably gorgeous. He had all the iridescent feathers of the BA, but then at about 4 or 5 months started growing in some red feathers. At first I thought he had been attacked by my other rooster and was bleeding around the neck, so I picked him up and inspected closer. OMG, it was red feathers coming in around his neck. He was really a pretty bird. But, I named him Butthead because of how he was with his brooding mates, and he was worse when put in with the flock. Sigh. :thI seem to have no luck with roosters. Seriously, my hens always end up bloody. Would sure love to have a nice roo.
