My straight run RIRs from TSC ended up being 2 pullets and 4 roos. I was upset about that, boy do I feel for you. Mine are about the same size as your and my 2 pullets do NOT have combs or waddles like that. The boys sure are handsome though. Just look foward to some great chicken dinners this winter! (Atleast thats what I keep telling myself...

I am cool with getting roos in my orders, the hispanics here prefer free range roos to store bought chicken. I get from $10 to $15 each at about 5 months. If they have not reached maturity I get between $5 and $7 each. The person that sells them for me keeps running out, I am thinking of calling Ideal and asking for their extra roos they normally cull.

Well my buff orpingtons were really straight run, I know because I hatched the eggs! I hatched 10 of them and 8 of them are roos.
