My RIR is pecking a hole in only her egg about 2-3x a month. My ee is a saint compared to this RIR. I have several issues with the RIR being aggressive. Why do they do this?

Make your nest boxes darker if you can...curtains across the front is what some do. Or curtains across the main window. Put golf balls or fake eggs in the box too.

I have had Red Sex Links (RIR cross) and they are a bit pecky/aggressive. Hey you are doing really well if your EE is holding her own. I have found EEs to be really timid and low in the pecking order - at least the ones I have had were like that.
