I have several 4.5 month old Rhode Island Red pullets and one rooster. Yesterday I noticed that one of my RIRs had separated herself from the flock, has diarrhea, but not 100% - there are still some solids in her poop - and never developed her comb like the others. Her comb looks "brownish" and pale by comparison to the others. This morning she didn't want to come out of the coop with the rest, who flew/jumped out with normal enthusiasm. She was vocalizing, but not the normal vocalization of the other pullets. When I gently nudged her out of the coop, she went in the opposite direction of the other chickens and into the woods.

I'm going to get her out of the woods and put her in the run until she either recovers or.......not. Any ideas what is wrong and what I can do to help her? I think she might be in pain, but have no idea what a chicken in pain sounds like.

FYI, her comb never really developed like the others, so it isn't that it was bright red and then went pale, and she's the same age within a day or so of all the others. Any ideas would be appreciated.

TIA.
