RIR Roo (Looking for more info!)

Hello everyone! My partner and I have been pretty sure that our two RIRs are both cockerels. This is our first time having chickens, so I’m really just looking for some more info on this little guy! His name is Sensei Lou (my niece, Lucia - who is 3 and obsessed with Ninja Turtles - name this one). He is 12 and a half weeks old.

I have attached some pictures that I think indicate a cockerel, can anyone give me any info please? Looking for any comments/articles/links/personal anecdotes that help educate myself on how to tell cockerels and pullers from each other !

Sorry, but RIRs have a rep for being aggressive when hormones kick in.

Boy, even though they have a bad reputation it doesn’t mean they are all bad. You will have to wait till his hormones kick in to know what his true personality will be.

@TheOddOneOut - I’m guessing those are saddle and heckle feathers growing in ?? Is that why his tail is puffing to the sides ? And has green at the bottom of the feathers on his neck ?
