RIR rooster x Dominique hen

The results can be all over the board. They could have either 4 or 5 toes. T\They'll have red lobes, be about the same size as parents. They could be either calm or aggressive. If pullets, they could be broody (from the hen) or not (from the sire) and will likely lay light brown eggs.
In the end, they'll be barnyard mixes.

If Dominiques and RIR both have 4 toes how could the offspring have 5 toes?

Hello! Just wondering what I might get by crossing my heritage RIR rooster with a Dominique hen.
This will result in a sex linked cross with predominantly black pullets and barred cockerels with rose combs most likely. Possibly some red leakage. Male chicks should have a head spot.😊

Sadly, no. My last heritage RIR passed away about a month ago. He was a sweet one. I do have a son of his, but he is only 1/2 RIR. The RIR rooster did cross my Wheaten Marans, so time will tell what they turn out to be.
