RIR,RSL question

I am trying to decide if I have RIRs or RSLs, they have a couple little black feathers in their tails does that give any hint as to what they are? Thanks.

I'm no expert, but I do have 25 RIR hens, and did have 25 RIR roosters, and the roos had very dark/almost black irridesent green tail feathers . All of them have/had very dark red body feathers. Hope this helps you, I don't know anything about the red sex link, maybe someone else who knows can post some info for you,

Yep my RIR hens have black in their tail feathers. My RSL chicks all had white on them.

Pics would help determine though.

They could be production reds....

My RIR'S have dark red feathers, and black in their tail feathers, all of them. And my sex links have NO black whatsoever, they are just red and white

Oh, thank you very much, I am leaning towards RIR as they are dark and have no white at all, they are for the most part very nice and have just started to lay the cutest little eggs.... hope they soon get bigger or the first ones will be old before I can cook breakfast for everyone
