RIR - Supposed to be a girl...

I have 2, allegedly females. One has a WAY larger comb and wattles than that! I've heard crowing lately, and thought it was from one of the Silkies. My 8 year old swears it was "Betty," the well-endowed RIR he saw crowing this morning.

Thanks, guys - I tried to send the guy at the hatchery the pics, his e-mail wouldn't accept them. So I sent him a link to this post and he agrees with the forum. He's going to take them back. I have EIGHT of them...

100% boys, 8 out of 8

Mislabeled bin in the chick room, he "knew what was where" and his wife apparently didn't. He wasn't there when I came to get them.

Three months of feedin' and lovin' down the drain...

We even had "chicken TV time" with these guys. Four at a time in my lap while we watched a movie, switch them out at intermission.

These were supposed to be my NICE chickens that I was able to bond with more - it was hard to spend "personal time" with my first 24.

I hope I don't lose my crazy chicken lady badge by dropping my flock total from 31 down to 23...

Oh, wow. I'm very sorry to hear that you have to send your movie-pals back! But it is nice of the guy to take them back and not leave you with 8 crowing roosters!

Here's hoping that you soon have 8 new hens to watch movies with!
