RIR x Sex Link

The Barred Rocks, Black Sex Links made off of them and Doms (another barred chicken) are fairly easy. The head dot system. You can read it for yourself, but in BR, the male has a large, irregular head dot, while the female has a smaller, regular shaped head dot. Add that to the feathering out of males lighter and females darker and you can hit on 90 percent accuracy.

A black sex link takes it a step further. Female no head dot while males have the head dot of their BR heritage.

There are also some lines of birds that have developed for feather sexing. This is another sexing technique.
