RIR's lay first eggs at 24 weeks

I missed a day of checking eggs, then Thurs when I went into the coop there were 4 smaller eggs! C1 and C2 have laid their first eggs! Friday I got one from them. Just a couple weeks ago I noticed the wattles were red, and sure enough, now eggs! Yahoo! Being its their first eggs, they are smaller, but they will get bigger!

These are the nine eggs I collected on Thursday, the four smaller ones are the first day and second day eggs.

Congrats, nice eggs. I sure hope I don't have to wait that long for eggs from my RIR. Hope you get many more eggs from the girls.

My RIR is now about 21weeks and her comb has just started to grow and turn red. Hoping to have an egg from her in a few weeks!

Congratulation,I am so excited to see my RIR laying,I like what you wrote because my hens are doing the same the combs starts to get really red and some of the hens are really interested in te nesting boxes.
