Road Island Red to a Sex link

This is similar to my below question however it's more specific.

Has anyone let this mating happen? And if so, since it's mostly RIR mix (atleast my sex links will already be half RIR before mated to an RIR) will it have NO sexlink characteristics at all?

Also, if I were to breed a sexlink brother to a sexlink sister, and breed the resulting babies back to an RIR roo.....any possiblity of seeing sex link in that?

Just curious here if theres a way I can keep it sexlink without having to buy a whole flock of Leghorn hens? I might just break down and get a few but just curious here

Nope, the first cross of the two pure breed is the only sexlink you'll see. If those are crossed, you just have MPC's. (mixed breed chickens, aka mutts)

If you keep a RIR rooster and BR hens, you'll get all black sexlinks. So you could keep a RIR rooster and several different breeds of hen.
